Nests with Jelly Beans
Ingredients :
Chow mien noodles 2 cups (boiled)
Corn syrup ¼ cup
Sugar ¼ cup
Peanut butter ¼ cup
Jelly beans 16
Cooking Directions :
1 Break noodles into small pieces.
2 Combine sugar and corn syrup in a pan.
3 Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and there are bubbles at the edge of the pan.
4 Add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
5 Pour peanut mixture over noodles; mix nicely to coat completely.
6 Let cool.
7 Grease hands with butter and use approx 1/4 cup mixture to form a compact ball.
8 Use your finger to make a hole in the centre of each ball like a bird’s nest.
9 Set on butter paper and let cool.
10 Place 2-3 jelly beans inside each nest.
11 Spread green-tinted coconut on serving platter and place nest on bed of coconut and serve.
